The President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, has been selected as a keynote speaker at the THE Arab Universities Summit 2026, organized by Times Higher Education in partnership with Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) in Ben Guerir, Kingdom of Morocco, from November 3 to 5, 2026. The selection of the University President aimed to represent Iraq and Al-Mustaqbal University in a high-level panel discussion entitled “The Role of Universities in Accelerating the Clean Energy Transition,” scheduled to be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at Ibn Rushd Hall. The program includes the University President’s participation in a strategic dialogue alongside a distinguished group of academic experts and decision-makers to discuss the role of universities and research institutions in supporting sustainable development, developing renewable and clean energy solutions, and strengthening scientific research and innovation in addressing environmental and climate challenges in the Arab region. The summit’s program also includes the University President’s participation in the Presidents’ Roundtable, which will discuss aligning higher education outcomes with labor market requirements amid environmental challenges and limited resources. This selection reflects the academic presence of Al-Mustaqbal University in regional and international higher education forums and its participation in discussions on sustainability, clean energy, scientific research, and innovation, while strengthening the role of universities in supporting sustainable development.
