President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majid, conducted a field tour of several university colleges and academic departments to follow up on the regularity of the educational process at the beginning of the 2026–2027 academic year and assess the readiness of the academic environment and the requirements for the start of classes. The tour included meetings with teaching staff and academic and administrative personnel, during which mechanisms for supporting the educational process and ensuring adherence to approved academic schedules were discussed, along with maintaining regular lectures in classrooms and laboratories from the first day of the academic year. The University President emphasized the importance of completing the procedures for announcing the second-round examination results, stressing the need for examination committees and relevant personnel to finalize the review and verification processes in accordance with approved procedures, ensuring the accuracy of results and the integrity of academic processes. He also directed the continued monitoring of student attendance and regular participation in lectures and practical sessions, as well as compliance with applicable ministerial regulations and instructions, thereby strengthening academic discipline and contributing to a stable and stimulating educational environment. The tour also addressed ways to further develop academic performance and enhance educational programs and practices, while maintaining the university’s achievements and working to improve the quality of educational outcomes in line with the requirements of the coming stage. This follow-up reflects the university’s commitment to providing an integrated educational environment that supports quality education and strengthens the regular participation of students and teaching staff. It also aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, through supporting education and developing academic capabilities. At the conclusion of the tour, the University President expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the teaching staff and academic and administrative personnel, calling for continued teamwork and coordinated efforts throughout the new academic year.
