The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has announced the launch of the first stage of the unified university admission application procedures for the academic year 2026–2027. This stage includes account creation and data verification, commencing on Monday, 21 September 2026. The Ministry called on applicants from preparatory school, vocational education, Islamic studies, as well as other eligible student categories who do not have login credentials for the Qadam Platform, to access the application and select the “I Do Not Have Login Information” option in order to create an account and complete any missing information. The Ministry explained that these procedures enable students to book an electronic appointment to visit verification and authentication centers at government universities located near their places of residence. These centers will verify students’ accounts and data and authenticate them in preparation for applying through the unified university admission channels once they are officially launched. The Ministry further stated that verification and authentication centers are available at a number of government universities in Baghdad and the provinces, including the Universities of Baghdad, Al-Mustansiriyah, Technology, Basra, Mosul, Dhi Qar, Maysan, Wasit, Al-Muthanna, Kufa, Al-Qadisiyah, Babylon, Karbala, Al-Anbar, Diyala, Tikrit, and Kirkuk. These centers are designated to verify and authenticate applicants’ accounts and data. The Ministry called on all eligible students to begin these procedures and complete their account and data requirements as part of the preparations for applying through the unified university admission channels once they are launched.
