The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has announced the launch of the first step in the Unified University Admission process for the 2026–2027 academic year, which includes account creation and data verification and authentication, starting on Monday, September 21, 2026. The Ministry called on students eligible to apply for Unified University Admission, including graduates of preparatory schools, vocational education, Islamic education, and other categories of students who do not have login credentials for the “Qadam” Platform, to access the application and select the option “I do not have login information” in order to create an account and complete any missing information. The Ministry explained that these procedures will enable students to book an electronic appointment to visit verification and authentication centers at government universities located near their places of residence. These centers will verify students’ accounts and data and authenticate them in preparation for applying through the Unified University Admission channels once they are officially launched. The Ministry further stated that the verification and authentication centers include government universities in several governorates, namely: University of Baghdad, Al-Mustansiriyah University, University of Technology, University of Basrah, University of Mosul, University of Dhi Qar, University of Misan, University of Wasit, University of Al-Muthanna, University of Kufa, University of Al-Qadisiyah, University of Babylon, University of Karbala, University of Anbar, University of Diyala, Tikrit University, and University of Kirkuk. The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research urged all eligible students to begin the account creation process, complete their required data, and book their verification and authentication appointments starting Monday, September 21, 2026, and to complete all necessary requirements in preparation for the launch of the Unified University Admission channels for the 2026–2027 academic year.
