Al-Mustaqbal University commenced the new 2026–2027 academic year on Sunday, September 20, 2026, with an Iraqi flag-raising ceremony, held in line with the official ministerial schedule marking the start of the new academic year. The ceremony was attended by the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, along with the Assistant Presidents for Scientific and Administrative Affairs, the Director of the University Affairs Department, deans and associate deans of the university’s colleges, as well as a number of faculty members and staff. The event reflected a strong sense of national pride, commitment to university values, and institutional discipline. The ceremony was organized as part of the activities accompanying the commencement of the new academic year, contributing to the promotion of citizenship, national belonging, and civic awareness among the university’s students, while reinforcing the values of responsibility and active engagement within the academic community. The Al-Mustaqbal University Scout Team conducted the flag-raising ceremony under the supervision of the Scout Activities Division within the Central Student Activities Department. The ceremony took place in an academic and patriotic atmosphere, reflecting the university’s readiness to embark on a new academic year and continue its efforts in advancing education, scientific research, and student activities, while fostering excellence and innovation. The University emphasized that the ceremony represents one of the symbolic events marking the beginning of the academic year and reflects its commitment to providing an integrated university environment that combines education with national values, cultural activities, and scouting programs.
