The Cultural Attaché of the Republic of Iraq in the United Kingdom, Professor Dr. Qusay Kamal Al-Din Al-Ahmadi, accompanied by Professor Dr. Hassan Al-Yasiri, President of Al Mustaqbal University, discussed prospects for academic and scientific cooperation with the University of Reading in the United Kingdom during an official visit aimed at strengthening relations with British universities and opening new avenues for partnership in higher education and scientific research. The visit follows up on previous communication that began during an earlier visit and contributed to establishing common ground for dialogue and cooperation between the two sides. The current discussions focused on moving toward more clearly defined areas of cooperation that could be translated into practical academic and research programs and projects. The meetings addressed ways to promote mutual benefit from the academic and scientific expertise and capabilities of both sides, as well as mechanisms for developing cooperation in areas of common interest. This would create broader opportunities for Al Mustaqbal University to strengthen its relations with British academic institutions. Both sides emphasized the importance of maintaining institutional communication and identifying priorities and areas where practical cooperation can begin, contributing to the establishment of sustainable academic partnerships and strengthening scientific collaboration between Iraqi educational institutions and their British counterparts. The visit comes as part of the efforts of the Iraqi Cultural Attaché in the United Kingdom to support Iraqi universities in expanding their international academic networks and strengthening their presence within the global educational and research environment, in line with efforts to develop higher education and advance the level of scientific research in Iraq.
