Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, explored the latest global innovations and technologies in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and educational technology during his visit to GITEX AI Türkiye 2026, held in Istanbul on September 9–10, 2026. The visit came at the conclusion of his academic tour of a number of educational and technology institutions across Europe. The visit provided an opportunity to gain first-hand insights into the latest digital solutions and intelligent applications and to explore their potential applications in developing the educational and research environment, while advancing digital transformation and innovation in line with the rapidly evolving requirements of higher education. During the event, the University President held a number of meetings with representatives of leading global and Turkish technology companies, as well as technology and innovation centers, including Teknopark Ankara and Antalya Teknokent. The meetings focused on opportunities for cooperation and knowledge exchange, as well as exploring prospects for adopting advanced technologies and smart solutions to support the educational process and enhance academic curricula and scientific laboratories. Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi emphasized that Al-Mustaqbal University’s participation in international technology events forms part of a strategic approach aimed at strengthening its presence within the global innovation ecosystem and building high-quality partnerships with leading institutions and companies. Such partnerships enable the University to benefit from advanced expertise and technologies while creating broader opportunities for its students and researchers. He also noted that the University continues to expand the use of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies in education and scientific research, enhancing students’ readiness for the requirements of the global labor market and supporting the development of an academic environment founded on innovation, digital transformation, and continuous development.
