The College of Science at Al-Mustaqbal University held an online preparatory meeting on Wednesday, 16 September 2026, with students from the Department of Forensic Evidence who are scheduled to participate in a scientific training course at Al-Razi University in Kermanshah, Islamic Republic of Iran. The course is entitled “From the Crime Scene to the Laboratory: Employing Biological Sciences in Forensic Analysis.” The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Dhargham Ali Abbas, Head of the Department of Forensic Evidence, Dr. Maytham Nabeel Miqdad Ajam, the scientific supervisor and coordinator of the course, along with the participating students. At the beginning of the meeting, Prof. Dr. Dhargham Ali Abbas welcomed the participating students and emphasized the importance of this scientific opportunity in strengthening the practical aspects of forensic evidence studies. He noted that training courses and scientific visits contribute to broadening students’ knowledge and exposing them to academic and laboratory experiences at international universities, in addition to developing their scientific and practical skills. He also encouraged the students to comply with all instructions and make the most of the scientific and training program. For his part, Dr. Maytham Nabeel Miqdad Ajam, the scientific supervisor and coordinator of the course, presented the main details of the training program and its scientific themes. He also explained the organizational arrangements related to travel and accommodation, as well as the schedules of lectures and scientific activities. In addition, he provided the students with a set of guidelines and instructions aimed at helping them gain the maximum possible benefit from this experience, emphasizing the importance of punctuality, compliance with instructions, and representing Al-Mustaqbal University and the Department of Forensic Evidence in a manner that reflects the university’s academic and scientific standards. The meeting also featured direct interaction with the participating students, during which their questions and inquiries regarding the course, travel arrangements, accommodation, and training program were addressed. A number of scientific and organizational aspects related to the delegation’s participation were also discussed. This participation comes as part of the College of Science’s commitment to providing its students with valuable scientific and training opportunities and strengthening academic cooperation and scientific exchange with international universities and academic institutions. Such initiatives contribute to developing students’ scientific and practical skills and connecting theoretical knowledge with laboratory and field applications in the field of forensic evidence. The College emphasized that the training course represents an important scientific opportunity for students to learn about modern methods and techniques for handling biological evidence, from the crime scene through to laboratory analysis. This experience is expected to further enhance their academic and professional knowledge and skills while supporting the university’s efforts to prepare students with scientific and practical competencies aligned with the requirements of the forensic evidence field.
