As part of Al-Mustaqbal University’s commitment to continuous development and to advancing its academic and scientific performance indicators, Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, held an extended meeting with a number of directors of departments and units within the University Presidency, in the presence of Professor Dr. Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision. The meeting focused on conducting a comprehensive review of scientific and academic portfolios and identifying the priorities for the upcoming stage. The meeting included an integrated assessment of performance and achievement across several key areas, with emphasis on the importance of data-driven analysis and performance indicators to support decision-making and strengthen the University’s local and international competitiveness. The University President directed the preparation of periodic analytical reports containing clear indicators for measuring performance development. Key areas include local and international academic and scientific partnerships, research activity and high-quality scholarly publication, the University’s presence in local and international university rankings, as well as capacity-building programs and the development of students’ and graduates’ skills to prepare them for labour-market requirements. He also emphasized the need to enhance the effectiveness of university partnerships and transform agreements and memoranda of understanding into high-impact programs and projects. In addition, the meeting highlighted the importance of monitoring scientific publication activity and expanding applied research that contributes to addressing real-world challenges and supporting sustainable development. The meeting also emphasized the importance of activating the Science and Technology Parks Department and developing its role as a platform supporting innovation, applied research, and entrepreneurship. It further highlighted the need to strengthen cooperation between the University and the public and private sectors, enabling knowledge and research outcomes to be transformed into economic and societal value. This meeting forms part of Al-Mustaqbal University’s broader approach to developing an integrated institutional framework based on proactive planning, continuous measurement, and rigorous analysis of outcomes.
