Al Mustaqbal University, represented by its President, Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, participated in the 36th Annual Conference and Exhibition of the European Association for International Education (EAIE 2026), held at the Scottish Event Campus (SEC Centre) in Glasgow, United Kingdom, from September 8 to 11, 2026, under the theme “The Rhythm of Revolution.” The participation marked an academic presence for Iraq at one of Europe’s leading international events specializing in higher education and academic internationalization. Al Mustaqbal University participated through the FEDE Pavilion (Booth F29), showcasing its 55 academic programs, along with its educational and research capabilities. The University’s pavilion presented a comprehensive overview of its academic identity in Babylon, Iraq, highlighting aspects of Iraq’s rich civilizational heritage and connecting them with the development of modern higher education. This reflects the University’s vision of combining authenticity with openness to global educational experiences. The participation also provided an opportunity for the University to engage with a number of international universities and educational institutions from around the world, exploring opportunities for academic cooperation, student and research exchange, as well as discussing prospects for developing joint programs and projects. Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, President of Al Mustaqbal University, emphasized that participation in international academic forums aims to establish sustainable institutional partnerships that can be translated into programs, projects, and meaningful opportunities for students and researchers, further strengthening the University’s presence on the international academic stage. As part of its participation, Al Mustaqbal University signed a number of agreements and memoranda of understanding with participating universities and educational and research institutions. These agreements aim to develop joint academic programs, strengthen academic and research exchange, and benefit from the latest global trends and strategies in the internationalization of higher education.
