Istanbul – In a move that reflects Al-Mustaqbal University’s commitment to keeping pace with rapidly evolving technological developments and engaging with the latest global innovations, University President Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majid paid an official visit to GITEX AI Türkiye 2026, held in Istanbul on 9–10 September 2026, on his return from an academic tour of several European countries. The visit provided an opportunity to explore first-hand the latest technologies and innovative solutions in the fields of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, digital transformation, and educational technology, while also examining ways to leverage these advanced technologies to develop the University’s educational and research environment and strengthen its technological infrastructure. On the sidelines of the exhibition, the University President held a series of meetings with representatives of leading global and Turkish technology companies, as well as technology and innovation centers, including Teknopark Ankara and Antalya Teknokent. The discussions focused on prospects for joint cooperation, the exchange of expertise and knowledge, and opportunities to establish strategic partnerships that could facilitate the transfer of knowledge and advanced technologies into the university environment. The meetings also explored opportunities to adopt and integrate smart technologies into academic curricula, scientific laboratories, and educational programs, in ways that respond to the evolving needs of students and researchers, enhance their capabilities in emerging technological fields, and support the University’s vision of building an academic environment driven by innovation, scientific research, and advanced technology. Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majid emphasized that the University’s participation in international technology events is part of a strategic vision aimed at strengthening Al-Mustaqbal University’s presence within the global academic and technology ecosystem. He highlighted the importance of creating broader opportunities for students and researchers to engage with the latest global trends and acquire future-oriented skills aligned with the demands of the global labor market and the accelerating pace of digital transformation.
