University of Al-Mustaqbal continues to strengthen its presence at international academic forums through its participation in the 36th Annual Conference and Exhibition of the European Association for International Education (EAIE 2026), held in Glasgow, United Kingdom, from September 8 to 11, 2026. The event brought together universities and educational institutions from around the world under the theme “The Rhythm of Revolution.”
The university was represented at the conference by its President, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi. University of Al-Mustaqbal participated in the FEDE Pavilion – Booth F29, showcasing its academic and research experience, as well as its vision for developing higher education and strengthening cooperation with international educational institutions.
The university’s pavilion presented 55 academic and educational programs, in addition to its capabilities in academic and research fields. It also introduced the university’s identity and location in Babylon, Iraq, while highlighting aspects of Iraq’s rich cultural heritage.
The participation brought the university together with a number of universities and educational institutions from countries including France, Germany, Canada, Ireland, Italy, Switzerland, and others. This participation aims to expand international relations and open new opportunities for academic and research cooperation and student exchange.
Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of University of Al-Mustaqbal, emphasized that participation in international academic forums aims to build sustainable institutional partnerships that can develop into joint academic programs, research projects, and educational opportunities for students and researchers, further strengthening the university’s international presence.
As part of its participation, University of Al-Mustaqbal signed a number of agreements and memoranda of understanding with participating universities and academic and educational institutions. These agreements aim to develop joint programs, strengthen academic and research exchange, expand international cooperation, and benefit from global experiences and strategies in the internationalization of higher education.
The university’s participation in EAIE 2026 reflects its ongoing efforts to expand international partnerships and enhance opportunities for its students, academic staff, and researchers, supporting the development of an educational environment that is open to global experiences.
