Al-Mustaqbal University, represented by its President, Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, participated in the 36th Annual Conference and Exhibition of the European Association for International Education (EAIE 2026), held at the Scottish Event Campus (SEC Centre) in Glasgow, United Kingdom, from September 8 to 11, 2026, under the theme “The Rhythm of Revolution.”
Al-Mustaqbal University participated as the Iraqi academic institution represented within the FEDE Pavilion (Booth #F29), where the university showcased its advanced academic programmes, comprising 55 educational programmes, in addition to its academic and research capabilities and its experience in higher education development.
The university’s exhibition booth also highlighted Iraq’s rich cultural identity, showcasing aspects of the ancient heritage of Mesopotamia and linking it to the modern educational and academic renaissance taking place at Al-Mustaqbal University in Babylon, Iraq.
The university participated alongside a distinguished group of universities and educational institutions from around the world, including institutions from France, Germany, Canada, Ireland, Italy, Switzerland, and other countries. The participation provided an opportunity to explore prospects for academic cooperation, exchange expertise, and develop opportunities for student and research exchange, thereby strengthening the university’s presence within the international higher education community.
The President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, emphasised that:
“Our participation in international forums aims to build sustainable institutional partnerships that translate into programmes, projects, and genuine opportunities for our students and researchers.”
He also highlighted the importance of engaging with global academic institutions and developing new pathways for international cooperation.
The university’s participation also witnessed the signing of a number of bilateral agreements and memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with participating universities and educational institutions. These agreements aim to develop joint academic programmes, strengthen academic and research exchange, and benefit from the latest global practices and strategies in the field of higher education internationalisation.
This participation is part of Al-Mustaqbal University’s strategic approach to strengthening its academic presence at the international level and expanding its network of partnerships with universities and educational institutions worldwide. It contributes to providing high-quality opportunities for its students and academic staff and supports the university’s ongoing journey towards leadership and excellence in higher education and scientific research.
