The Head of the Civil Engineering Department at the College of Engineering, Al-Mustaqbal University, Assistant Professor Dr. Mayada Waheed Falah, participated on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, as a member of the discussion committee for a Master’s thesis at the College of Engineering, University of Karbala. The thesis, entitled “Experimental and Analytical Study of Torsion for Reinforced Concrete Beams Strengthened with Externally Bonded FRP Systems,” investigated the experimental and analytical behavior of reinforced concrete beams subjected to torsional moments after being strengthened using externally bonded Fiber-Reinforced Polymer (FRP) systems. The study is of significant scientific importance in the field of structural engineering, as modern strengthening techniques play an effective role in improving the structural performance of concrete structures, enhancing their efficiency, and increasing their capacity to withstand various loads. Assistant Professor Dr. Mayada Waheed Falah contributed her academic and scientific expertise to the discussion by providing valuable technical comments and research guidance aimed at enhancing the quality of the thesis and its scientific outcomes. This participation reflects the active academic and scientific role of the Head of the Civil Engineering Department at Al-Mustaqbal University, as well as her commitment to supporting scientific research, strengthening academic collaboration, and promoting the exchange of expertise among Iraqi universities.
