The College of Science Council at Al-Mustaqbal University held its first meeting for the 2026–2027 academic year on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, chaired by the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Furat Al-Sultani, with the attendance of the heads of the scientific departments, activity officers, scientific affairs officers, and the college website officer. The meeting was held at the Dean’s Office of the College of Science. The meeting aimed to follow up on the academic and administrative preparations for the new academic year and discuss a number of important topics included in the Council’s agenda, contributing to the preparation of an appropriate academic environment for students and teaching staff and ensuring the smooth progress of the educational process. The meeting included a review of the second-round examinations and the most important procedures related to them, in addition to discussing the necessary preparations for the beginning of the new academic year. These preparations are intended to ensure the availability of the required academic and administrative needs and to prepare the scientific departments to carry out their duties effectively. The Council also discussed the material and human resources required by the scientific departments and ways to provide the necessary requirements for academic and administrative work. In addition, it reviewed the scientific and cultural activities plan for the new academic year, which contributes to strengthening scientific, research, and cultural activities within the college. The meeting also addressed the organization of weekly lecture schedules to ensure the smooth implementation of the educational process and achieve an optimal distribution of courses and lectures according to the requirements of the scientific departments, while serving the interests of both students and teaching staff. On another aspect, the Council discussed a number of scientific and academic issues included in the agenda. A number of proposals and academic topics were put to a vote, and appropriate decisions were taken in accordance with the approved procedures and regulations. During the meeting, the Dean of the College of Science emphasized the importance of integrating efforts among the scientific departments and various units of the college, as well as the need to continue working in a spirit of teamwork. He highlighted that such efforts contribute to the successful implementation of the new academic year and to improving the academic, scientific, and administrative performance of the College of Science at Al-Mustaqbal University.
