The College of Science Council at Al-Mustaqbal University held its first meeting for the 2026–2027 academic year on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, chaired by the Dean of the College of Science, Assistant Professor Dr. Furat Hamza Al-Sultani, with the attendance of all Heads and Rapporteurs of the scientific departments. The meeting addressed a number of academic and administrative matters related to the beginning of the new academic year and enhancing the smooth operation of the educational process. The meeting discussed the distribution of courses among teaching staff according to the specializations and academic needs of the departments, in addition to addressing shortages in the teaching staff and taking the necessary measures to resolve them, thereby ensuring adequate coverage of academic courses and supporting the smooth delivery of the educational process. The Council also discussed mechanisms for preparing, organizing, and distributing weekly schedules in accordance with the numbers of students, teaching staff, and available classrooms, contributing to the optimal use of classrooms and the effective organization of lectures to ensure smooth academic operations. The meeting further addressed the basic procedures adopted for receiving students for the new academic year and organizing procedures for students’ payment of tuition fees. It also discussed the formation of specialized committees to monitor students’ attendance and absence and promote commitment to official attendance. The Council also reviewed the progress and correction rates of the subjects for the second-round examinations of the current academic year, emphasizing the importance of completing the correction and entering examination results within the specified timelines to ensure the timely completion of academic and administrative requirements. The meeting concluded by emphasizing the continuation of coordination among the scientific departments and specialized committees and taking the necessary measures to ensure the College of Science is fully prepared to receive the 2026–2027 academic year, while enhancing academic and administrative organization in support of the quality of the educational process.
