As part of its ongoing efforts to support scientific research and strengthen its academic presence in international scientific forums, Asst. Lecturer Hanadi Tahsien Muslem, a faculty member in the Department of Biochemistry, College of Science, Al-Mustaqbal University, published a scientific research paper entitled: “Evaluation of C-reactive Protein-Related to Oxidative Stress in Patients Suffering from Hyperthyroidism Babylon, Iraq (2024)” The research was published in Public Health Research, Volume 16, Issue 1, 2026. The study investigated the relationship between C-reactive protein (CRP) and oxidative stress in patients with hyperthyroidism in Babylon, Iraq, through the assessment of several biochemical biomarkers associated with thyroid function, oxidative stress, and inflammation. The study included 120 participants, comprising 60 patients with hyperthyroidism and 60 healthy individuals. The findings showed increased CRP levels and elevated oxidative stress markers among patients compared with the healthy group, supporting an association between hyperthyroidism, oxidative stress, and inflammatory responses. This scientific contribution reflects the continued research activity of the faculty members of the College of Science at Al-Mustaqbal University and their commitment to producing research that contributes to advancing knowledge in biochemistry and biomedical sciences.
