Students from the Aesthetic and Laser Techniques Department at the College of Health and Medical Technologies conducted a scientific and clinical training visit to Imam Al-Sadiq Hospital in Hilla, with the participation of a group of active students and department representatives. The visit was organized as part of a training program aimed at strengthening students’ practical skills and connecting theoretical knowledge with clinical practice, contributing to their professional development and preparing them for work in healthcare institutions. The visit included tours of several medical units. In the Burns Unit, students learned about different clinical cases and the approaches used in their management. They also visited the operating rooms and Intensive Care Unit to gain practical insight into critical cases and the methods of providing appropriate medical care. The tour also included the Coronary Care Unit (CCU), the Oncology Treatment Center, and the Neonatal and Pediatric Care Unit, where students were introduced to cases requiring close monitoring and specialized care. The visit also included a practical workshop on intravenous cannula insertion in the emergency department under the supervision of nursing staff. This activity provided students with an opportunity to develop their practical skills and gain direct exposure to an essential clinical procedure within a hospital environment. The training visit reflects the department’s commitment to providing students with practical learning opportunities and strengthening the integration of academic knowledge with clinical practice. It also contributes to preparing qualified healthcare professionals equipped with the knowledge and practical skills required in the workplace. The activity aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being and SDG 4: Quality Education.
