In line with Al-Mustaqbal University’s ongoing efforts to enhance the scientific and research capabilities of its academic staff, faculty members of the Department of Financial and Banking Sciences at the College of Administrative Sciences, including Dr. Zain Al-Abideen Aboud Kadhim, continue to actively participate in specialized training courses offered through the EduBa platform affiliated with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The training courses covered a range of important academic and research topics, most notably mechanisms for selecting reputable scientific journals and verifying their accreditation, identifying the reasons for the rejection of scientific research papers and ways to address them, as well as the criteria for evaluating reputable scientific journals and guidelines for writing and publishing review articles. The courses also addressed the use of smart learning platforms to enhance academic performance, advanced research skills through the Web of Science (WOS) platform, understanding the H-Index and methods for improving it, in addition to the principles of scientific writing from the perspective of an academic evaluator. They also explored the tools and services provided by Clarivate to researchers, as well as an introduction to the implementation of the Bologna Process in Iraqi universities. This continuous participation reflects the commitment of the department’s faculty members to ongoing professional and academic development and to strengthening their research skills, in line with Al-Mustaqbal University’s commitment to supporting scientific research, enhancing the quality of education, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and institutional excellence.
