Al-Mustaqbal University President Follows Up on Completing Ministerial Requirements for New Academic Programs

Al-Mustaqbal University President, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majid, followed up on August 23, 2026, at the university building, the preparations of the relevant departments and units to complete the requirements of the Ministerial Committee for Education and Academic Program Establishment. The follow-up took place during an expanded meeting attended by the Scientific Assistant and a number of directors of relevant departments and units. The meeting discussed the readiness of classrooms, laboratories, infrastructure, and the technical, engineering, and logistical equipment required to support new expansions. It also addressed the status of academic and administrative staff, recruitment and qualification plans, as well as the review of legal procedures, regulations, and instructions related to the establishment of new academic programs and the provision of supporting services for students. The University President emphasized the importance of strengthening coordination among the various university formations and completing assigned responsibilities accurately and within the specified timelines. These efforts aim to fulfill ministerial requirements and enhance the quality of academic and administrative performance. These efforts are aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), while supporting the university's efforts to develop its educational environment and enhance its readiness for academic expansion in line with the requirements of modern higher education. Al-Mustaqbal University, ranked first among private universities in Iraq, continues its efforts to develop its educational and academic infrastructure and enhance the quality of its outcomes in support of the advancement of higher education.
