The President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, received members of the Iraqi Council of Representatives, namely Dr. Habib Al-Halawi and Prof. Dr. Hassan Al-Masoudi, a member of the Parliamentary Education Committee. The meeting addressed strategic issues related to ways of developing the higher education sector, improving academic services, and strengthening the local and international reputation of private higher education institutions in Iraq. The discussion also highlighted Al-Mustaqbal University’s experience as a leading model in academic hosting and partnership programs with prestigious international universities. In a statement, Dr. Habib Al-Halawi emphasized that Babil Governorate takes pride in Al-Mustaqbal University as an outstanding scientific and academic institution. He pointed to its significant social and economic role in employing more than 2,000 citizens from the governorate, representing different age groups and social categories, including degree holders as well as administrative and service staff. This contributes effectively to reducing unemployment and supporting sustainable development. Prof. Dr. Hassan Al-Masoudi, a member of the Parliamentary Education Committee, stressed the importance of strengthening the quality and academic standards of both private and public higher education. He noted that Al-Mustaqbal University’s achievement of success rates exceeding 90% in the standardized examinations for most academic subjects is clear evidence of its academic standing. He also praised the university’s twinning and international academic hosting programs. These meetings and visits confirm Al-Mustaqbal University’s continued commitment to advancing its academic and infrastructure standards, as well as maintaining coordination with legislative and executive authorities to consolidate its position as a scientific institution that serves the community and contributes effectively to building Iraq’s educational and economic Al-Mustaqbal Al-Mustaqbal University, the first university in Iraq.
