The European Union has officially announced that Al-Mustaqbal University has been awarded direct funding for an academic project under the prestigious "Jean Monnet" awards, part of the Erasmus+ program. This marks a historic first for an Iraqi university to secure 100% full funding directly from the European Commission.The winning project is titled "One Health in EU Policy: Implications for Medical and Health Practice." This achievement follows over four years of strategic preparation, which included establishing specialized Erasmus units and building academic capacities to compete globally.The university administration expressed its gratitude to the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, praising the continuous support of the Deputy Minister for Research Affairs, Prof. Dr. Hayder Abed Dhahad, the Director General of Scholarships, Prof. Dr. Hazim Baqir Tahir, and the Director of International Organizations, Dr. Muwaffaq Sajit, whose guidance through specialized workshops contributed to this landmark success.
