As part of its strategy to strengthen international academic cooperation and expand its research horizons, Al-Mustaqbal University has further enhanced its academic partnership with Istanbul Aydın University in Türkiye. The Dean of the Engineering Technical College at Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abd, held a high-level academic meeting with the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Istanbul Aydın University, in the presence of several heads of scientific departments. The meeting focused on developing academic and research collaboration between the two institutions. The meeting concluded with a joint agreement to host the 5th International Conference on the Future of Sustainable Energy at Istanbul Aydın University in Türkiye. This marks a significant step in expanding the conference’s international reach and establishing it as a global platform for researchers, academics, and experts to exchange the latest studies, technologies, and innovations in sustainable energy, renewable energy, and environmental sustainability. Prof. Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abd emphasized that hosting the conference outside Iraq represents an important milestone in Al-Mustaqbal University’s internationalization journey. It will contribute to strengthening research partnerships with Turkish and international universities, expanding opportunities for joint scientific publications, and supporting academic exchange and practical training programs for students. The two sides also discussed the formation of joint scientific and preparatory committees, the development of the conference’s academic and organizational plans, and the activation of cooperation between corresponding colleges and academic departments. These efforts aim to develop joint academic and research programs in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and contribute to enhancing the quality of engineering education. This collaboration comes with the direct support of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and reflects the University’s vision of expanding its international academic partnerships and strengthening its presence within the Eurasian Universities Union (EURAS). Through these initiatives, Al-Mustaqbal University continues to strengthen its position on the international academic stage, promote impactful research, and create broader opportunities for its students and researchers.
