Al-Mustaqbal University has achieved a significant advancement in the latest internationally recognized research indicators on the InCites – Web of Science (Clarivate) platform for the period from 2020 to 2025, according to the update issued on July 31, 2026, reaffirming its leading position in Iraq’s academic and research landscape. The achievement aimed to strengthen the university’s presence in scientific research and high-quality academic publishing. Al-Mustaqbal University ranked first among all Iraqi public and private universities in the number of research papers published in Q1 journals, with 1,560 publications. The university also ranked third among all Iraqi universities and first among private universities and colleges in research published in Q2 journals, with 1,177 publications. Furthermore, it ranked third in Iraq and first among private universities in the indicator for research classified among the Top 10% of the most influential research worldwide, with 620 publications. President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, stated that these results represent the outcome of the continuous efforts of the university’s faculty members and researchers.
