Al-Mustaqbal University affirmed that what has been circulated on some social media platforms regarding the suspension of admissions for the upcoming academic year 2026/2027 due to non-payment of the social security amount, is nothing more than a routine financial procedure currently being finalized, and bears no relation to the university’s academic reality or scientific standing. First: The university clarified that what has been raised in this regard is due to the incomplete process of paying the social security amount for the year 2025, and is not related to any scientific, academic, or administrative reason concerning the university. It stressed its full commitment to applying the applicable laws and regulations, and that any delay was due to the completion of the matching and final settlement procedures for 2025, which are administrative procedures followed by the department. The university was not the cause of this delay. Second: In accordance with the provisions of the Retirement and Social Security Law for Workers No. (18) of 2023, and in particular the provisions regulating the obligations of employers and operating entities to pay retirement contributions, the university has taken all necessary financial, legal, and administrative measures to complete the payment process. It has also submitted all required information to the Retirement and Social Security Department in Babil Governorate for the purpose of finalizing the payment transaction. Third: The university reassured its dear students and their parents that the doors of Al-Mustaqbal University will a ways remain open to welcome its students in various scientific and humanitarian disciplines. It called on everyone to verify accuracy and obtain information from official sources, and to avoid following pages that promote inaccurate information or information far from academic and scientific reality. Fourth: The university pointed out that Al-Mustaqbal University’s scientific achievement is very significant and represents a pioneering academic experience at the national level. Some of these can be cited as follows: - Scientific Recognition*: Al-Mustaqbal University received a Letter of Thanks and Appreciation from the Head of the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority, based on the recommendation of the same supervisory committee, in recognition of its excellence and adherence to solid standards. - National Leadership*: Al-Mustaqbal University ranked first among private universities and colleges in Iraq for three consecutive years in the Iraqi national ranking issued by the Ministry of Higher Education / Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority. - Institutional and Programmatic Accreditations*: All university colleges and departments have obtained full institutional accreditation. In addition, the Colleges of (Pharmacy, Law, and Physical Education and Sports Sciences) and most recently the Department of (Anesthesia) have obtained specialized programmatic accreditation from the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority. - International Partnerships and Accreditations*: The university has established wide international relations and gained the trust of prestigious global academic institutions. It has become an accredited host site for postgraduate programs of world-classified universities within the "Shanghai" global ranking, foremost among them the Malaysian public USM University and the Egyptian public Mansoura University. Without the university’s established reputation, these qualitative academic steps would not have been initiated. - Social Responsibility and Student Support*: The university has provided tens of thousands of scholarships and financial discounts to families in the governorate from various categories, from which more than (10,000) male and female students have benefited.The university also attached documents issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which document Al-Mustaqbal University’s commitment to instructions and regulations, and its scientific achievements. These documents embody official recognition of its academic efforts and institutional excellence. In conclusion, the university clarified that the issued recommendation was to close the admission portal in case of non-payment of social security, and not to permanently close the portal.
