In reference to the information circulated on certain social media platforms regarding the suspension of student admissions at Al-Mustaqbal University for the 2026–2027 academic year due to the alleged non-payment of social security contributions, the University would like to clarify the following facts to the public, as well as to its students and their families: First: The issue being circulated is solely related to the completion of the social security contribution payment procedures for the year 2025. It is in no way connected to any academic, scientific, or administrative matter concerning the University. Al-Mustaqbal University reaffirms its full commitment to complying with all applicable laws and regulations. Any delay that occurred was the result of completing the final reconciliation and verification procedures for the year 2025, which are standard administrative processes carried out by the competent authority. The University was not responsible for this delay. Second: Pursuant to the provisions of the Pension and Social Security Law for Workers No. (18) of 2023, particularly those regulating employers’ obligations regarding pension and social security contributions, the University has undertaken all necessary financial, legal, and administrative measures to complete the payment process. It has also submitted all required information and documentation to the Pension and Social Security Department in Babylon Governorate to finalize the payment procedures in accordance with the applicable legal requirements. Third: Al-Mustaqbal University reassures its students and their families that the matter being discussed is merely a routine financial procedure currently undergoing completion through the official administrative channels. It has no impact whatsoever on the University’s academic standing, educational process, or scientific excellence. The University will continue to welcome its students across all scientific and humanities disciplines, as it has always done. It also urges everyone to rely on official sources for accurate information and to avoid misinformation or misleading reports circulated by unofficial platforms.
