As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance educational outcomes, strengthen institutional performance, and accelerate its journey toward academic accreditation, the College of Health and Medical Technologies at Al-Mustaqbal University held an extensive meeting dedicated to discussing quality assurance and program accreditation requirements. This meeting reflects the College's firm commitment to adopting internationally recognized academic quality standards that contribute to advancing both the educational and administrative systems while enhancing their global competitiveness. The meeting, hosted in the Office of the Head of the Department of Radiological Technologies, was attended by Professor Dr. Mundhir Sameen Shukr, Head of the Department of Optical Technologies, along with faculty members and the relevant academic committees. The primary focus of the meeting was to discuss the implementation of the self-assessment process for all program accreditation standards, recognizing it as a fundamental step in evaluating the department's current performance and developing a comprehensive roadmap to fulfill the accreditation requirements established by the Ministry of Higher Education and accredited quality assurance bodies. During the meeting, Dr. Ahmed Najm, Quality Assurance Officer, delivered a comprehensive presentation on the requirements and procedures for conducting the self-assessment process. He thoroughly explained the implementation steps and operational procedures necessary to ensure full compliance with all program accreditation standards. The discussion also highlighted the pivotal role of self-assessment in enhancing both academic and administrative performance, achieving accreditation requirements, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the department, thereby contributing to the development of an outstanding educational and research environment. The meeting concluded with the participants reaffirming the Department of Optical Technologies' strong commitment to implementing comprehensive quality standards and promoting teamwork to continuously improve performance across all academic and administrative aspects.
