Al-Mustaqbal University Advances Its Global Research Leadership with 458 New Publications

Al-Mustaqbal University has continued to strengthen its position in global scientific research by achieving remarkable progress in its research performance during the first half of 2026, reaffirming its growing reputation among leading academic institutions both nationally and internationally. According to the latest statistics from the Scopus database, updated as of July 8, 2026, the University published 458 new research papers since the beginning of the year, increasing its cumulative total of indexed publications to 6,622. The University’s h-index also rose to 92, reflecting the increasing quality, impact, and international recognition of its research output. In terms of research quality, Al-Mustaqbal University achieved outstanding results, with 70.7% of its publications appearing in Q1 and Q2 journals, while 91.7% were published in journals ranked within Q1–Q3. These figures highlight the University’s commitment to publishing in prestigious, high-impact, peer-reviewed international journals. The University also continued to make significant contributions to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with 4,350 publications linked to the SDGs. Research on Good Health and Well-being (SDG 3) and Affordable and Clean Energy (SDG 7) ranked among the University’s leading research priorities, demonstrating its dedication to addressing global health, environmental, and sustainable development challenges through scientific innovation. Commenting on these achievements, the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, stated that these accomplishments are the result of the dedication and excellence of the University’s faculty members and researchers.
