Al-Mustaqbal University Explores Global AI Deployment Trends at the Geneva Summit

Al-Mustaqbal University, the leading private university in Iraq, continued its active participation in the third and final day of the AI for Good Global Summit in Geneva through its President, Professor Hassan Shaker Majdy. The final day of the summit focused on the practical deployment of artificial intelligence technologies and expanding their real-world applications across vital sectors. The closing programme featured a series of high-level scientific sessions and technical workshops highlighting the transition from AI development to real-world implementation. Discussions covered the use of artificial intelligence in public services, industry, and sustainable mobility, while also showcasing the latest concepts in smart cities, integrated digital and physical environments, and intelligent transportation systems. The University President also attended the concluding sessions of the ITU Kaleidoscope Conference, which explored the future of digital infrastructure supporting artificial intelligence, including AI-native 5G and 6G networks, digital sovereignty, and advances in quantum computing. In addition, he followed the strategic discussions during the AI for the Global Majority session, which emphasized the development of AI solutions tailored to the cultural and economic contexts of developing countries, as well as the final stage of the Innovation Factory startup platform, dedicated to innovations that contribute to sustainable development. Professor Hassan Shaker Majdy emphasized that the outcomes of the summit provide an important reference for advancing the University's vision of integrating artificial intelligence into education, scientific research, and community service. He noted that Al-Mustaqbal University is committed to benefiting from international experiences and strengthening academic partnerships to foster innovation, accelerate digital transformation, and keep pace with global technological developments. The University's participation reflects its commitment to supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
