Al-Mustaqbal University Participates in the “Artificial Intelligence for Good” Global Summit in Geneva to Promote Digital Transformation and Sustainable Development
Geneva — 8 July 2026
Al-Mustaqbal University, represented by its President, Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, participated in the activities of the prominent global summit “AI for Good Global Summit”, held at the Palexpo Convention Center in Geneva, Switzerland. This participation comes within the framework of the university’s strategic vision aimed at leading digital transformation, integrating artificial intelligence technologies into academic and administrative structures, and achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
The summit — regarded as the world’s leading platform for directing innovation toward tangible societal impact — witnessed broad international participation, bringing together a distinguished group of researchers, policymakers, innovators, and founders of technology startups from around the world. The opening-day sessions discussed mechanisms for transforming academic and laboratory research into practical applications that serve the public, commercial, and humanitarian sectors.
On the sidelines of the summit, Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi followed the activities of the academic “Kaleidoscope” Conference organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), which focused this year on the theme “Artificial Intelligence and Frontier Technologies for the Common Good.” The conference covered emerging fields including quantum computing, brain–machine interfaces, and collaborative robotics. The events also included the launch of the new “AI Playbook,” a framework designed to assist policymakers and academic institutions in moving technological projects from the experimental concept stage to large-scale practical implementation.
The University President, Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, emphasized the importance of the modern trends presented at the summit, particularly in the fields of smart agricultural innovation, healthcare, and addressing climate challenges. He highlighted that Al-Mustaqbal University places among its top priorities the establishment of strong international partnerships and the support of responsible artificial intelligence platforms and digital citizenship, contributing to the development of comprehensive educational curricula that connect technical skills with critical awareness and sustainable development dimensions.
This international participation is part of Al-Mustaqbal University’s pioneering efforts to strengthen its position as a key center for research innovation, develop its human capabilities, and keep pace with the global digital revolution in a way that serves the academic and development community.
