إليك النص بعد استبدال كل كلمة **Future** بـ **Al-Mustaqbal**: As part of its leadership in promoting the internationalization of higher education and strengthening international partnership frameworks, Al-Mustaqbal University hosted the fifth meeting of the Ministerial Committee overseeing the UK-Iraq Academic Bridge Initiative on Thursday, July 2, 2026, in the presence of a high-level official delegation for the 2025–2026 academic year. This strategic meeting was hosted to reinforce the principles of knowledge exchange, implement international memoranda of understanding, and develop the research and academic skills of students and faculty, in line with the requirements of quality and excellence in shaping global educational visions, and to align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), in accordance with global scientific standards. The meeting was chaired by the Advisor to the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Chair of the Ministerial Committee, Prof. Dr. Alaa Abdul-Hassan, and attended by the Country Director of the British Council in Iraq, Dr. Richard Sanderson, along with the presidents and representatives of a number of Iraqi public and private universities (Baghdad, Al-Mustansiriya, Mosul, Babel, Kufa, Dhi Qar, Central Technical, Northern Technical, Al-Mustaqbal, Heritage, Al-Shaab, and Al-Ma’arif). The strategic vision of the initiative and its most notable achievements were reviewed with great insight and professionalism to ensure the accurate academic implementation of the joint programs. The President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, welcomed the visiting ministerial and British delegations, highlighting the significant strides the university has made in global rankings and in obtaining national program accreditation, He emphasized the importance of international openness to keep pace with the digital revolution in higher education. The meeting included an evaluative presentation by the Director of Scientific Supervision and Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, in which he discussed Al-Mustaqbal University’s strategic partnerships with prestigious British universities such as Nottingham and Reading, and presented practical proposals to expand the horizons of cooperation and develop the scientific research outputs of the participating universities in an atmosphere of collaboration and intellectual integration. The University Presidency emphasized that hosting these international events directly contributes to improving institutional performance, fostering a culture of innovation and scientific collaboration, and ensuring the integrity of academic output, thereby supporting the achievement of Al-Mustaqbal University’s strategic goals and elevating Iraq’s scientific representation in international forums as a sustainable center of cultural influence.
