Al-Mustaqbal University, the first university in Iraq, has launched the "AI Literacy Program" as part of its ongoing commitment to digital transformation and the enhancement of academic and administrative competencies. The initiative is sponsored and directly supervised by the University President, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, with the follow-up of Professor Dr. Muzaffar Al-Zuhairi, Director of Academic Supervision, and organized by the Continuing Education Center headed by Professor Dr. Wael Al-Nadawi. The program's inaugural session witnessed broad participation from faculty members, staff, and students, alongside a distinguished group of specialists in artificial intelligence and emerging technologies, reflecting the university’s dedication to fostering an innovative and digitally empowered educational environment. The program aims to equip participants with the fundamental knowledge and practical skills required to understand and utilize artificial intelligence technologies and their diverse applications, thereby enhancing academic and administrative performance and strengthening digital readiness. The AI Literacy Program comprises six progressive training levels within an internationally aligned framework: AI Awareness (A1), Basic AI User (A2), Intermediate AI User (B1), Advanced AI User (B2), Professional AI User (C1), and AI Expert (C2). The initiative is expected to enable participants to gain a comprehensive understanding of core AI concepts, emerging trends, and major AI domains, including analytical, predictive, and generative artificial intelligence, while promoting the effective integration of these technologies into academic and administrative practices. University officials emphasized that the launch of this program reflects Al-Mustaqbal University’s proactive response to rapid technological advancements and its commitment to developing the capabilities of its academic and administrative workforce, ensuring the integration of AI technologies across university operations in accordance with modern global standards.
