The College of Administrative Sciences at Al-Mustaqbal University contributed to a new distinguished academic and societal achievement, as the university secured first place among all Iraqi universities in Sustainable Development Goal 1 (SDG 1: No Poverty) within the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2026, announced on Wednesday, June 24, 2026. Through this accomplishment, Al-Mustaqbal University outperformed all participating Iraqi institutions, including 25 public and private universities evaluated under this global ranking indicator.
This international recognition reflects the pioneering and active role played by the College of Administrative Sciences in supporting and implementing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The College’s contribution was clearly demonstrated through its direct involvement in organizing and hosting specialized international scientific conferences that addressed poverty eradication strategies and solutions to economic crises. In addition, the College has implemented a comprehensive range of academic activities, research initiatives, and community-based programs aimed at promoting economic and social awareness, strengthening the principles of social solidarity, and advancing comprehensive sustainable development.
