Head of the Optics Technologies Department Attends a Scientific Workshop on Implementing the Concept of Science and Technology Parks in Iraqi Universities

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, and the supervision of Professor Dr. Mudhafar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, Professor Dr. Mundhir Sameen Shukr, Head of the Optics Technologies Department at the College of Health and Medical Technologies, Al-Mustaqbal University, participated in the scientific workshop entitled “Practical Pathways for Implementing the Concept of Science and Technology Parks in Marketing Scientific Outputs in Iraqi Universities.” The workshop was held at the Student Activities Hall of Al-Mustaqbal University. The workshop aimed to highlight practical mechanisms for activating the role of science and technology parks in transforming research outcomes into innovative and entrepreneurial projects that are applicable and marketable. It also focused on strengthening partnerships between universities and the private sector, as well as supporting startups, technology incubators, and business accelerators. The workshop covered several scientific topics, including the role of artificial intelligence, innovation, patents, and intellectual property protection. In addition, it reviewed modern models of technology incubators, mechanisms for financing entrepreneurial projects, and strategies for marketing research outputs in ways that contribute to sustainable development and the advancement of a knowledge-based economy. The participation of the Head of the Optics Technologies Department reflects the department’s commitment to keeping pace with modern trends in innovation and scientific research, while benefiting from leading experiences that connect academic outputs with labor market needs. This, in turn, contributes positively to enhancing the educational and research environment within the department and the university.
