Faculty members and students of the Department of Forensic Evidence, College of Science, Al-Mustaqbal University, followed and supported the university’s initiative aimed at strengthening the role of scientific research in addressing the developmental challenges facing Babylon Governorate by linking real-world problems with academic and research institutions and transforming them into scientific studies and research projects that serve the community.
This initiative comes in line with the university’s commitment to social responsibility and its vision of empowering academics and researchers to provide evidence-based scientific solutions to challenges facing various vital sectors within the governorate.
The initiative included an official visit by the Director of the Scientific Products Marketing Division to the Babylon Governorate Office, where discussions focused on utilizing the university’s scientific and research capabilities to address development challenges in the fields of water resources, energy, environment, urban planning, agriculture, local security, and public services.
Faculty members of the Department of Forensic Evidence emphasized the importance of such initiatives in directing scientific research toward priority community issues and encouraging researchers and students to develop applied studies and research projects that contribute to sustainable development and the improvement of public services.
Students of the department also expressed great interest in the initiative, recognizing its value in linking academic knowledge with practical community needs and encouraging participation in research activities aimed at providing effective and applicable solutions to real-life challenges.
These efforts are part of Al-Mustaqbal University’s vision to strengthen the concept of a productive and socially influential university and to enhance the integration between scientific research and local development needs, thereby achieving a sustainable developmental impact in Babylon Governorate.
