As part of its continuous efforts to support scientific research and innovation and strengthen its presence in academic and scientific forums, Al-Mustaqbal University, represented by Professor Dr. Mundher Sameen Shukr, Head of the Optics Techniques Department, participated in the Health Research and Innovation Exhibition organized by the Middle Technical University at the Technology Incubators Building on Wednesday, June 10, 2026. The participation came in response to the kind invitation extended by Professor Dr. Musab Kadhim, Assistant President of the Middle Technical University for Scientific Affairs. The exhibition was attended by the President of the Middle Technical University, Professor Dr. Waddah Hatem Al-Tamimi, the Chair of the Committee of Deans of Health and Medical Colleges and Institutes, Professor Dr. Angham, along with deans of colleges and institutes, a number of distinguished academic figures, the representative and Director of the World Health Organization (WHO) Office in Baghdad, as well as experts and researchers in health and medical fields. Al-Mustaqbal University’s participation was distinguished by the presentation of several applied medical patents, reflecting the advanced level of scientific research and innovation achieved by the University across various health and medical disciplines. These contributions received widespread praise from attendees, with Professor Dr. Waddah Hatem Al-Tamimi commending the University's scientific and research achievements, particularly in the fields of patents and applied innovations. He also emphasized the importance of strengthening academic and scientific collaboration among Iraqi universities to support development and innovation. On the sidelines of the exhibition, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Middle Technical University and the World Health Organization, aiming to expand scientific cooperation and benefit from international expertise in supporting sustainable development programs and advancing both the health and academic sectors. Al-Mustaqbal University’s participation in this significant scientific event reaffirms its commitment to promoting a culture of creativity and innovation and strengthening the role of scientific research in developing practical solutions that serve society and contribute to the advancement of the healthcare sector.
