**Al-Mustaqbal University strengthens international cooperation by signing an MoU and research collaboration with the University of Nottingham, UK.**

In line with Al-Mustaqbal University’s ongoing efforts to strengthen international academic cooperation and expand engagement with reputable global universities, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, accompanied by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Zalami, Dean of the College of Pharmacy, and the Cultural Attaché in the United Kingdom, Prof. Dr. Qusay Al-Ahmadi, conducted an official visit to the University of Nottingham in the United Kingdom on 9/6/2026. The visit included extensive meetings with several academic leaders and officials at the University of Nottingham and its School of Pharmacy, where discussions focused on enhancing joint cooperation and activating the strategic partnership between both institutions. This includes academic twinning programs, dual-degree schemes, and joint research projects in the fields of pharmaceutical sciences and biotechnology. Both sides emphasized the importance of this distinguished partnership in light of the prestigious academic standing of the two institutions. The School of Pharmacy at the University of Nottingham is globally recognized, ranking first in the United Kingdom and eighth worldwide, and maintains a strategic partnership with Boots, a leading global pharmaceutical company, providing its graduates with wide employment opportunities in major international organizations. In comparison, the College of Pharmacy at Al-Mustaqbal University has achieved a significant milestone by obtaining American accreditation in pharmacy education, reflecting the alignment of its curricula and structure with international standards. As a culmination of this visit, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was officially signed between Al-Mustaqbal University and the School of Pharmacy at the University of Nottingham, aiming to strengthen academic and research collaboration, promote the exchange of expertise among faculty members and researchers, and open new opportunities for undergraduate and postgraduate students in pharmaceutical sciences and advanced technologies.
