Strengthening Academic and Scientific Cooperation between the Community Health Technologies Department and the Public Health Department of Babylon Health Directorate

Under the guidance of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and with the follow-up of the Dean of the College of Health and Medical Technologies, Assistant Professor Dr. Zahraa Halim Al-Qayyim, and within the framework of the university’s continuous efforts to develop academic relations and strengthen scientific partnerships with health institutions, Professor Dr. Aqeel Handhal Al-Jawdhari, Head of the Community Health Technologies Department at the College of Health and Medical Technologies, visited the Public Health Department of the Babylon Health Directorate to enhance prospects for joint cooperation in scientific, academic, and training fields. The visit included a tour of the divisions and units affiliated with the Public Health Department, including the Health Inspection Division and the Communicable Diseases Division, where the delegation was introduced to their functions, programs, and activities in the fields of public health protection, disease control, and the promotion of preventive measures. The two sides also discussed opportunities for cooperation in the summer training of Community Health Technologies students, aiming to enhance students’ practical skills and bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and field applications within healthcare institutions. Such collaboration is expected to positively impact educational outcomes and improve the preparation of future healthcare professionals. Furthermore, the meeting explored the possibility of establishing joint research partnerships and implementing scientific projects and studies that serve the community and contribute to addressing priority public health issues. The discussions also emphasized the exchange of scientific expertise and knowledge between academic staff and healthcare professionals. Dr. Marwan Hisham Abdulaziz, Director of the Public Health Department, expressed strong interest in expanding cooperation with the Community Health Technologies Department, highlighting the importance of integration between academic and healthcare institutions in achieving health development goals and supporting scientific and academic advancement.
