As part of the College of Health and Medical Technologies’ ongoing efforts to enhance educational quality and fulfill academic accreditation requirements, the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Zahraa Halim Al-Qayyim, accompanied by the Head of the Quality Assurance and Performance Division, Dr. Ahmed Najm, conducted a follow-up visit to the Department of Optics Techniques to review the implementation of program accreditation and quality standards in preparation for applying for program accreditation.
The visit included an assessment of the department’s compliance with approved program accreditation standards, as well as a review of the progress made in completing the academic program and course specifications. It also involved monitoring the mechanisms used to document scientific and educational activities in accordance with the standards of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and academic quality requirements.
During the visit, the Dean emphasized the importance of continuing to work collaboratively and intensifying efforts among the specialized committees and faculty members to complete all program accreditation requirements according to the highest standards. Such efforts contribute to the development of the educational process, the enhancement of learning outcomes, and the improvement of academic and administrative performance.
She further stressed that obtaining program accreditation represents an important strategic step toward strengthening the department’s academic standing and reinforcing confidence in the quality of its educational programs and scientific outputs.
This follow-up visit is part of the college’s ongoing plan to support its academic departments and enable them to meet accreditation and quality requirements, in line with Al-Mustaqbal University’s vision of academic excellence and institutional leadership.
