The College of Health and Medical Technologies monitored the implementation of quality standards and program accreditation requirements in the academic departments preparing to apply for program accreditation. The follow-up was conducted under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Zahraa Halim Al-Qayyim, Dean of the College, accompanied by Dr. Ahmed Najm, Head of the Quality Assurance and Performance Division, as part of the College’s ongoing efforts to enhance academic standards and achieve comprehensive quality requirements.
This follow-up comes within the framework of the College’s plans to promote a culture of quality and academic accreditation and to complete the necessary requirements for obtaining program accreditation, thereby contributing to the development of academic programs and the improvement of learning outcomes in accordance with approved national standards.
During the visit, the Dean reviewed the extent to which program accreditation standards are being implemented within the academic departments, followed up on the requirements for academic program and course specifications, and examined the mechanisms for documenting scientific and educational activities in line with the standards of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The Dean emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts among specialized committees and academic departments to ensure the successful fulfillment of program accreditation requirements, stressing the need to adhere to quality standards that contribute to enhancing the efficiency of the educational process and improving academic and administrative performance.
She also commended the efforts made by department heads and specialized committees in implementing quality assurance and accreditation plans, praising their commitment to completing accreditation requirements according to the established timelines, which reflects the College’s dedication to continuous development and improvement.
This follow-up is part of a series of measures undertaken by the College to support the academic accreditation process, strengthen its scientific and academic standing, and reinforce confidence in the quality of its educational programs and outcomes in line with higher education requirements and standards of institutional excellence.
