As part of its strategic vision to strengthen institutional leadership and advance sustainable development, the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, chaired an extensive meeting attended by the directors of the university’s research centers, the Continuing Education Center, and the Science and Technology Parks Department, in the presence of the Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, Professor Dr. Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi.
The meeting focused on reviewing institutional performance and developing a roadmap for the next phase, aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of the university’s centers and strengthening integration among colleges, research units, and various academic formations.
During the meeting, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi emphasized the importance of adopting a forward-looking strategy that positions Al-Mustaqbal University among leading productive universities. He highlighted the need to support entrepreneurial and innovative projects through effective partnerships with the private sector, particularly following the establishment of the Science and Technology Parks Department, which serves as a platform for nurturing impactful and sustainable initiatives.
He further stressed the importance of directing scientific research and innovation toward addressing major local and global challenges, including energy, climate change, and public health, while promoting initiatives that generate employment opportunities and contribute to economic and social development in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals.
The University President also underscored the need to design specialized training programs aimed at capacity building and skills development across various sectors of society, while expanding collaboration with governmental institutions, private-sector organizations, and community partners to reinforce the university’s role as a hub for knowledge production, innovation, and community engagement.
The meeting included presentations highlighting the key activities, programs, and achievements accomplished by the centers during the previous period, showcasing their contributions to advancing scientific research and supporting the university’s broader mission of societal service.
For his part, Professor Dr. Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi emphasized the value of knowledge sharing, interdisciplinary collaboration, and teamwork across the university’s academic disciplines. He noted that artificial intelligence applications have become an essential component of virtually every field, while the energy sector continues to emerge as one of the most critical pillars shaping the future.
This meeting reflects Al-Mustaqbal University’s ongoing commitment to building a modern university model that integrates education, research, innovation, and entrepreneurship, positioning the institution as a dynamic platform for knowledge creation, solution development, and sustainable progress.
