Under the patronage of the President of Future University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Magdy, Future University inaugurated the “Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center” in the Al-Qadiya area of the governorate's capital. The inauguration was attended by the Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, several deans, directors of centers and departments, faculty members, and a number of students and those interested in innovation and entrepreneurship.
The center's opening aligns with the university's vision to foster an environment of creativity and innovation and support the transition to a “productive university” model, in accordance with modern global trends toward a knowledge economy and investment in minds and talents as the primary drivers of sustainable development.
The center, established off-campus to enhance direct engagement with the community and various sectors, includes several halls dedicated to innovative projects, others for marketing products and entrepreneurial ideas, as well as advanced artificial intelligence application labs and specialized rooms for providing guidance, mentorship, and support to promising initiatives and ideas that can be transformed into successful entrepreneurial ventures.
The center also includes modern training facilities dedicated to implementing development and qualification programs targeting students, public and private sector institutions, and various segments of society. This contributes to building capacity and developing future skills in the fields of innovation, digital transformation, and entrepreneurship.
In a statement to the university's media, University President Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi affirmed that the center's opening represents a significant strategic milestone in the university's journey toward becoming a productive institution. He noted that the center will serve as an incubator for creative ideas and an effective platform for engaging with the community, nurturing young talent, and supporting impactful initiatives. This will enhance the university's role in finding innovative solutions to developmental and economic challenges.
For his part, the Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, Professor Dr. Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, explained that the center's establishment aligns with the rapid global shift toward a knowledge-based and digital economy. He emphasized that the university, through this initiative, seeks to cultivate young talent, encourage innovation, and transform ideas into viable projects by providing a comprehensive environment for support, training, guidance, and building partnerships with various sectors.
