Community Health Techniques Department Highlights the Health and Social Effects of Genetically Modified Fruits

As part of the scientific and cultural activities continuously organized by the Community Health Techniques Department, a scientific article entitled “Genetically Modified Fruits Between Health Benefits and Community Risks” was presented under the supervision of Professor Dr. Aqeel Al Jothery, Head of the Community Health Techniques Department. The article discussed the importance of genetically modified fruits and their role in supporting food security and improving the nutritional value of agricultural products. The article reviewed the major health and agricultural benefits of these fruits, including increased agricultural productivity, reduced use of chemical pesticides, extended shelf life of food products, and their contribution to reducing nutritional deficiencies related to vitamins and essential nutrients. The article also discussed the most important challenges and potential risks associated with genetically modified foods, including the possibility of long-term health and environmental effects, emphasizing the importance of continuous health monitoring and accurate scientific studies to ensure the safety of these products and protect individual and community health. This activity comes within the efforts of the Community Health Techniques Department to spread scientific and health awareness and to enhance community culture in a way that contributes to the development of academic and health knowledge among students.
