Under the sponsorship of the Forensic Evidence Department at the College of Science at Al-Mustaqbal University, an awareness campaign titled “Cancer Disease” was organized on Wednesday, 13/5/2026, in the Administrative Building, with the participation of a number of department students, as part of activities aimed at raising health awareness among university students and promoting preventive culture within the university community. The campaign aimed to introduce cancer disease, its causes, and methods of prevention, as well as to clarify the importance of early diagnosis and its role in increasing the chances of treatment and recovery. It also encouraged students to adopt healthy behaviors and avoid habits that may increase the risk of diseases. The campaign included various awareness activities throughout the university corridors, including the distribution of educational brochures and the presentation of health information and guidance regarding disease symptoms and causative factors, in addition to spreading awareness messages encouraging attention to public health and regular medical checkups. The campaign was supervised by Assistant Lecturer Bushra Hussein Atiya, Assistant Lecturer Mays Adi Mohammed, and Assistant Lecturer Huwaida Nazzal Hussein, who emphasized the importance of enhancing health awareness among الشباب and the role of academic institutions in spreading health and community culture. The campaign also witnessed positive interaction from students who showed great interest in the information provided, emphasizing the importance of such initiatives in increasing health awareness within the university environment. The Forensic Evidence Department continues to organize awareness activities and campaigns that contribute to serving the university community and enhancing health and cultural aspects, in line with the university’s vision of building an aware and educated generation.
