The Forensic Evidence Department at the College of Science at Al-Mustaqbal University organized a scientific seminar titled “The Cell: The Building Unit of Life” on Sunday, 17/5/2026, in the Engineering Building – Hall 107, as part of the scientific activities aimed at enhancing academic knowledge and developing students’ scientific skills, with the participation of a number of faculty members and students. The seminar aimed to introduce the cell as the fundamental unit for building living organisms, highlighting the types of cells, their structures, and vital functions, in addition to explaining the importance of the cell in various biological processes that ensure the continuity of life and the growth of living organisms. The seminar was presented by the student Amir Haider under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Huwaida Nazzal Hussein. It included a simplified scientific presentation about the components of the cell and its mechanism of action, as well as clarifying the differences between plant and animal cells and the role of cellular organelles in performing vital functions within the body. The seminar witnessed remarkable interaction from students through questions and scientific discussions, reflecting their interest in modern scientific topics and their eagerness to develop their academic and cognitive levels. Assistant Lecturer Huwaida Nazzal Hussein emphasized the importance of organizing such scientific seminars that contribute to strengthening students’ scientific and research aspects and encourage them to develop presentation, delivery, and scientific discussion skills. The Forensic Evidence Department continues to organize scientific and cultural activities that contribute to supporting the educational process and building a university environment that motivates creativity and scientific excellence.
