The Forensic Evidence Department at the College of Science at Al-Mustaqbal University organized a scientific workshop titled “Crime Scene” on Saturday, 16/5/2026, in the Engineering Building – Hall 108, as part of the scientific activities organized by the department with the aim of developing students’ scientific and practical skills in the field of forensic evidence, with the participation of a number of faculty members and students. The workshop aimed to introduce the concept of the crime scene and its importance in uncovering criminal facts, as well as explaining the basic procedures followed in dealing with crime scenes and the mechanisms of collecting and preserving evidence in a precise scientific manner that contributes to supporting criminal investigations. The workshop was delivered by the student Ahmed Saeed Mahdi under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Huwaida Nazzal Hussein. It included an explanation of the steps for documenting forensic evidence, methods of lifting fingerprints, and analyzing traces found at the crime scene, in addition to highlighting the importance of accuracy and observation in reaching correct conclusions and uncovering the circumstances of crimes. The workshop witnessed remarkable interaction from students through scientific discussions and the raising of questions and inquiries related to the workshop topic, reflecting their interest in developing their scientific and practical skills in the field of forensic evidence. Assistant Lecturer Huwaida Nazzal Hussein emphasized the importance of organizing scientific workshops that contribute to developing students’ skills and enhancing their abilities in practical and research aspects in line with the requirements of the specialization and labor market needs. The Forensic Evidence Department continues to organize scientific and cultural activities that contribute to supporting the educational process and building a university environment that motivates creativity and scientific excellence.
