The Forensic Evidence Department at the College of Science at Al-Mustaqbal University organized a scientific seminar titled “The Importance of Cytology” as part of the scientific activities that the department is keen to organize with the aim of developing the scientific and cognitive aspects of students, with the participation of a number of faculty members and students. The seminar aimed to highlight the importance of cytology in understanding the structure and functions of cells and their essential role in building living organisms, as well as explaining the significance of this science in medical, biological, and research fields, and its role in diagnosing diseases and understanding the changes that occur inside the human body. The seminar was presented by the student Zainab Shihab under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Huwaida Nazzal Hussein. It included a simplified explanation of the types of cells, their components, and the vital functions they perform, in addition to clarifying the relationship between cytology and modern scientific developments in the fields of medicine and biotechnology. The seminar witnessed remarkable interaction from students through scientific discussions and the raising of questions and inquiries related to the seminar topic, reflecting their interest in enhancing their scientific knowledge and developing their academic skills. Assistant Lecturer Huwaida Nazzal Hussein emphasized the importance of holding scientific seminars that contribute to developing students’ skills and encouraging them toward scientific research and academic presentation, thereby enhancing their scientific and cultural capabilities.
