Asst. Lect. Rasha Ihsan Sadoun, a faculty member and coordinator of the English Department at the College of Education, Al-Mustaqbal University, has published an insightful professional and awareness article highlighting core ethical guidelines within academic and occupational environments. The article is titled: "Professional Workplace Ethics: Why Clarity and Respect Outshine Fake Flattery".  The article provides a deep analysis of professional relationships, emphasizing that individuals in a workplace do not need excessive compliments as much as they require clarity and honesty in their interactions. The author points out that clarity cuts short much of the misunderstanding, while mutual respect fosters a comfortable environment for everyone and builds a solid foundation of trust among colleagues.  Furthermore, the article highlights that excessive or fake flattery may give a temporary impression but completely fails to construct a successful or sustainable professional relationship, whereas honesty and respect leave a lasting impact. The author adds that clarity in speech and interactions prevents gossip and misinterpretation, thereby reducing problems and increasing team spirit so that everyone feels valued far away from pretense or hypocrisy.  The article concludes by asserting that the ultimate goal of professional ethics is not to be liked through frequent compliments, but to be a genuine source of trust, comfort, and respect for others—qualities that illuminate the career path and allow the workplace to overflow with maturity and humanity.
