With elite participation, the College of Engineering and Technology makes a strong showing at the National University Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Applications Championship (NURAI 2026)

As part of its ongoing efforts to foster digital innovation, the College of Engineering and Technology at Al-Mustaqbal University participated in the “National University Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Applications Championship (NURAI 2026),” held under the auspices of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The participation was marked by the distinguished presence of Dr. Noor Abdel Karim and a select group of students from the Department of Computer Engineering, as part of the 2025–2026 academic year competitions. This participation aimed to promote the principles of artificial intelligence and develop students’ programming and technical skills, in line with the requirements of quality and excellence in building pioneering technological solutions that serve society and align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in the fields of industry and innovation according to global scientific standards. The competition featured a showcase of innovative projects across various tracks (medical, educational, industrial, and environmental), where the college team presented software solutions and smart applications reflecting academic precision, with a focus on modern standards in robotics engineering and the construction of autonomous systems with high intelligence and professionalism, providing an opportunity to exchange technical insights with participating teams from various Iraqi universities. The college’s deanship emphasized that participation in such national forums contributes to improving institutional performance, promoting a culture of “think, innovate, create,” and ensuring the preparation of a generation of engineers capable of leading the digital transformation, thereby supporting the achievement of Al-Mustaqbal University’s strategic goals and elevating its representation in major scientific competitions. This participation is part of Al-Mustaqbal University’s efforts to support programs for gifted students and applied scientific research, and to create a pioneering educational environment that contributes to improving academic rankings and cementing the university’s position as a cultural hub for sustainable innovation under the slogan “Together, we are building a future worthy of Iraq’s universities.
