The Arabic language is considered one of the most important pillars of the cultural and civilizational identity of the Arab nation, as it represents a vessel of knowledge and a means of intellectual and cultural communication across generations. With the rapid developments in digital technology, it has become essential to reconsider the methods of teaching Arabic language subjects in a way that aligns with the requirements of the digital age and the modern needs of learners. Digital transformation has imposed a new reality on educational institutions, necessitating the adoption of modern teaching strategies based on digital and interactive technologies in the educational process. Recent years have witnessed significant development in the use of digital tools within educational environments, contributing to the transition from traditional teacher-centered instruction based on memorization to interactive learning that places the learner at the center of the educational process. The integration of technology into Arabic language teaching has become an educational necessity that contributes to enhancing students’ reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills, in addition to developing critical and creative thinking abilities. The importance of developing Arabic language teaching methods lies in improving the quality of education and increasing students’ motivation to learn. The use of multimedia, educational applications, and digital platforms enables the presentation of educational content in more engaging and effective ways. Modern technologies also help address individual differences among students by providing diverse learning activities that suit their varying abilities and needs. Among the most prominent modern approaches that can be employed in teaching Arabic language subjects are e-learning, blended learning, interactive learning, and the use of smart applications, electronic whiteboards, and digital educational platforms. These tools provide a flexible educational environment that enhances communication between teachers and students and facilitates the exchange of knowledge more quickly and efficiently. Digital transformation also contributes to developing teachers’ own skills, as it has become necessary for them to possess technical competencies that enable them to design digital content, manage virtual classrooms, and use modern assessment tools. This requires the provision of continuous training programs aimed at improving teachers’ abilities to effectively integrate technology into the educational process. Despite the significant advantages offered by digital transformation in Arabic language education, several challenges may hinder its implementation. Among the most notable are weak technological infrastructure in some educational institutions, limited digital expertise among certain teachers, and the need to update curricula to suit the modern digital environment. In addition, some students may face difficulties interacting with e-learning due to limited technical skills or restricted access to the internet and modern devices. To address these challenges, educational institutions should develop strategic plans to improve the digital learning environment and provide technical and technological support, in addition to updating curricula to meet the requirements of digital education. Furthermore, scientific research in the field of Arabic language education using modern technologies should be encouraged in order to develop more effective and sustainable teaching methods. In light of the above, it can be said that developing methods for teaching Arabic language subjects in the context of digital transformation represents a fundamental step toward building a modern educational system capable of keeping pace with global developments. Technology is no longer merely a supporting tool in education; rather, it has become a key element in improving the quality of the educational process and enhancing learners’ skills, thereby contributing to preparing a generation capable of interacting with the demands of the digital age while preserving its linguistic and cultural identity.
